Following a recent restructure my client is looking to recruit an Electrical Estimator on a full-time permanent basis. Our client is a well-established and growing business with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality commercial construction projects. You will work alongside experienced industry professionals on complex and high-value projects, where your expertise will be valued and your contribution will have a direct impact on business success.
Confident communicating with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors, you will possess strong analytical and negotiation skills, alongside the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Producing electrical tenders for commercial construction projects with values up to £15m
- Analysing labour, material, overhead, and subcontractor costs to ensure accurate project pricing
- Obtaining and negotiating competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
- Reviewing subcontractor designs and ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements
- Communicating with clients, architects, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors throughout the tender process
- Conducting site surveys and gathering information to support accurate cost estimation
- Identifying value engineering opportunities to improve project efficiency and profitability
- Previous estimating experience on commercial design-and-build projects
- Electrical engineering qualification (BTEC ONC, City & Guilds Level 3)
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, MS Outlook
- Experience of electrical estimating software (Cypher or equivalent)
Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week
