Our international agricultural client seeks a commercially astute Finance Director to join their management team.

The Role:

  • Supporting the leadership team in the development & implementation of strategic plans and associated action plans for the business.
  • Establishing financial measurement standards and developing systems to monitor performance vs targets.
  • Evaluating & reporting departmental performance with the MD and other key stakeholders.
  • Supporting the SLT in the review of finance & administration activities of the business and affiliates, ensuring maximum efficiencies are achieved across the Group.
  • Ensuring R&D expenditure is identified & captured within the Group’s wider tax plan.
  • Creating, implementing & operating budgeting & broader management controls.
  • Driving continuous improvement & performance management.
  • Supporting the development, management and implementation of the IT strategy across the business.
  • Recruiting and development of staff members within the finance function.

The Person:

  • Fully qualified accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferred.
  • Prior experience in a similar role in an industrial, manufacturing or agricultural environment.
  • Significant experience of leading and managing a finance team.
  • Excellent IT literacy skills.
  • Experience of overseeing implementation of systems & processes.
  • Strong business acumen & commercial awareness.
  • Outstanding communicator at all levels with ability to develop positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Dedicated & hard-working with proven ability to work autonomously under own initiative.
  • High-level analytical skills.
  • Broad knowledge & awareness of the agricultural industry would be desirable.
