About us
Private White VC are a luxury menswear fashion brand based in Manchester. We take quality, provenance, and artisanry very seriously. Using time-honoured, uncompromising traditions and techniques to create authentic, investment garments built to last. Crafted using the finest regionally sourced & ethical fabrics and materials. Proud to be ‘Made in Manchester,’ our reach is global, and our scope is wide. On a regular day we provide bespoke items for high profile patrons, plus off-the-peg garments from our finest, functional designs. Our retail outlet is based at our factory in the heart of Salford, where we welcome our clients for private tours, consultations, and partnership events. We are a heritage brand with a heroic story to be told. Our business model also includes a successful private label operation; manufacturing for well-respected prestigious brands across both men’s and ladies’ wear; and also working with businesses from corporates to hospitality SMEs supplying bespoke uniforms and high-quality branded workwear.
About the role
It’s time for us to hire our first in-house PR & Communications Manager to continue steering the journey of our brand story. This is a hands-on, high-autonomy role where no two days are alike. You might be:
- Pitching to editors at The Times and Monocle.
- Curating bespoke showroom events or private fittings for high-profile clients.
- Welcoming a celebrity into our Manchester factory for a behind the scenes tour.
- Planning seasonal press outreach with stylists & journalists.
- Dreaming up angles from our heritage that cut through the noise.
- Working closely with our founders, in-house creative team, and external collaborators to ensure our story is told with consistency, style and purpose.
About you
This is an exciting new in-house role where we outline our ‘starting point’ and look forward to the successful hire making it their own! We’re looking for:
- Experience as a PR professional, with an interesting PR profile and story to tell – in-house, or agency side now ready to make a move in house.
- We’d love it if you bring a little black book bulging with relevant contacts, but equally if you haven’t, but have the tenacity to develop one, we can share ours!
- A strong writer who can also pitch, host and produce events with flair.
- Highly creative and innovative; an idea originator and generator.
- A storyteller; and outstanding written and verbal communicator.
- An outgoing relationship builder with good self-awareness, discretion and tact.
- A self-motivated team player and collaborator with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Very organized and able to multi-task and be results-focused.
- Experienced in digital PR with a good understanding of social media channels.
- Naturally confident, with professional ease and a sense of humour!
- Energised by both heritage and innovation.
- Flexible to travel as required.
