About the role
We are delighted to be partnering on an exciting opportunity for an experienced People Business Partner to support a large, complex UK Head Office Property & Finance function. This is a highly strategic role, acting as the primary people advisor and thought partner to senior leaders. You will shape and deliver people strategies that enable business objectives, drive performance, and support long-term organisational capability. As a catalyst for change, you will play a key role in building a high‑performing, inclusive, and resilient workforce, partnering closely with leadership on organisational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent, succession, and cultural initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Co-create and deliver a functional people plan aligned to business strategy, UK market insight, and Group people priorities.
- Act as a trusted advisor and constructive challenger to senior leaders on all people‑related matters, including transformation, organisational effectiveness, performance, and talent.
- Provide strategic people leadership at business unit level, ensuring strong alignment with wider Group priorities.
- Champion culture, diversity, equity and inclusion, coaching leaders and embedding best practice into decision‑making and ways of working.
- Build robust succession plans and talent pipelines, creating meaningful career pathways and development opportunities for senior leaders.
- Identify and address capability gaps, developing workforce and skills plans to support future business needs within Property & Finance.
- Foster a culture aligned to values and leadership behaviours, driving engagement, performance, and retention.
- Champion colleague well‑being, providing insight and recommendations to leadership teams.
- Leverage people data and analytics to inform strategic decisions, using insight and storytelling to influence outcomes.
- Partner closely with specialist People teams (OD, Workforce Planning, Reward, DEI, People Services) to deliver joined‑up, high‑quality people solutions.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex employee relations matters, working collaboratively with People Services and regional partners.
About you
You will be an experienced, commercially astute People Business Partner with a proven track record of operating at senior leadership level within a large, matrixed organisation. You will bring:
- Strong consulting and influencing skills, with the credibility to partner with Executives and senior leaders.
- Excellent commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
- Deep experience in organisational change, workforce planning, and capability building.
- Confidence in talent development, succession planning, and senior‑level coaching.
- A genuine commitment to inclusion, culture, and colleague wellbeing.
- The ability to use people data and insight to drive better outcomes.
- Strong communication skills, resilience, and the ability to navigate complexity.
