A prestigious luxury perfume business is seeking a Head of Global E-commerce to own and drive its global digital commerce strategy. This is a senior, hands-on role with full accountability for performance, growth, and operational excellence across owned and partner channels. This is not a maintenance role. You’ll be expected to proactively shape strategy, unlock growth, and elevate the end-to-end e-commerce experience globally.
The Role
You will lead global e-commerce operations and strategy, with responsibility for driving commercial growth, owning digital performance, and ensuring luxury-level execution across all touchpoints. The role spans sales, marketing, customer experience, systems, compliance, and financial performance, operating as part of a 360° Digital Trade strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Global Sales Growth & Strategy
- Define and execute the global e-commerce strategy, including worldwide channel planning and activations
- Drive measurable growth across revenue, conversion, AOV, and customer lifetime value
- Identify new markets, platforms, and opportunities to expand global reach
- Deliver c.30%+ performance uplift across owned and partner sites, including Tmall
- Customer Service Leadership
- Lead the e-commerce customer service function, ensuring a premium, luxury-level experience
- Implement SLAs, escalation frameworks, and tools to maximise satisfaction and retention
- Digital Marketing Ownership
- Own SEO and paid media strategy and execution end-to-end
- Manage budgets, set ROAS/CPA targets, and deliver clear performance reporting
- Optimise organic visibility and paid campaigns to drive acquisition and conversion
- Operational & Financial Excellence
- Own the e-commerce P&L, forecasting, and financial planning
- Lead system integrations including ERP, OMS, CRM, and payment gateways
- Oversee reviews, store accuracy, loyalty programmes, and regulatory compliance
- 360° Digital Trade & Compliance
- Manage global partner sites and marketplaces (including Tmall)
- Lead Grey Market takedown and MAP enforcement to protect brand integrity
- Ensure compliance with global privacy, tax, and disclosure requirements
About You
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior e-commerce role with global scope
- Proven track record of driving meaningful online sales growth
- Hands-on ownership of SEO and paid media performance
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including P&L management
- Experience leading system integrations and scaling e-commerce operations
- Confident, collaborative stakeholder manager across Marketing, IT, Finance, CS, and external partners
- Marketplace experience (Tmall highly desirable); Grey Market enforcement a strong advantage
