A leading UK financial services FTSE 250 company is currently recruiting a brand-new Strategic Talent Partner to join its refreshed people and talent structure. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping and delivering the organisation’s approach to talent identification, development, succession planning, and internal mobility.
You will own the end-to-end talent review process, work closely with HR Business Partners and senior stakeholders, and support the transition towards a skills-based talent model enabled by SuccessFactors technology. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys operating strategically while remaining hands-on with data, processes, and stakeholder engagement. It offers a rare opportunity to shape a newly created role with genuine strategic impact.
Key responsibilities
- Own and lead the annual Talent Review process across the organisation
- Drive continuous improvement of talent and succession processes
- Partner closely with HR Business Partners to support implementation and embed outcomes
- Implement and evolve the organisation’s talent mobility strategy and supporting processes
- Lead an 18-month transition to skills-based talent identification using SuccessFactors
- Build strong relationships with high-potential and identified talent
- Co-create tailored development plans with individuals and track delivery of actions
- Support succession planning through individualised development and readiness planning
- Manage all talent data, insights, and reporting related to Talent Review
- Own and manage the performance management process
About you
- Proven experience in talent management, succession planning, or leadership development
- Experience working within Financial Services
- Strong understanding of talent review frameworks and internal mobility models
- Comfortable working with HR systems, data, and reporting (SuccessFactors experience desirable)
- Able to influence senior stakeholders and partner effectively with HRBPs
- Structured, detail-oriented, and confident managing complex processes end-to-end
- Passionate about developing people and building sustainable talent pipelines
Extra Information: 2 days per week in the London office, 12 months FTC to perm, ASAP start date.
