We're working with a highly regarded organisation to appoint an HR Operations Manager into a pivotal role at the heart of their People function. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to lead and optimise HR operations, driving service excellence, enhancing employee experience, and ensuring the effective delivery of a peopleâfocused strategy.
The Role
Reporting into the Head of HR, you will take ownership of the dayâtoâday HR function, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance and a consistently high standard of service across the business. You'll play a key role in embedding a valuesâled culture while leading on process improvement, people initiatives and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Culture & Engagement
- Drive initiatives that support an inclusive, highâperformance and valuesâled culture
- Lead employee engagement activity, including surveys, focus groups and action planning
- Partner with stakeholders to develop and deliver EVP and wellbeing initiatives
- Champion diversity, equity & inclusion across HR practices
- Talent Management
- Oversee endâtoâend recruitment operations, including agency management and direct sourcing
- Ensure robust, valuesâbased selection and onboarding processes
- Monitor recruitment and retention metrics to inform decisionâmaking
- Support managers with talent development and retention strategies
- Performance & Reward
- Lead the performance review cycle and support ongoing performance management
- Contribute to annual reward processes and benefits management
- Provide insights and reporting on performance, progression and reward
- HR Operations & Service Excellence
- Ensure efficient delivery of all HR processes including contracts, payroll, absence and lifecycle changes
- Maintain compliance with employment legislation, policies and GDPR
- Oversee HR systems, reporting and data integrity
- Drive continuous improvement, streamlining and automation of processes
- Manage and develop the HR team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
- Produce regular HR reporting and support wider people projects
About You
- CIPD qualified (Level 7 or working towards)
- Proven experience in an HR operations or generalist leadership role
- Strong understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
- Experience managing and developing a team
- A proactive, solutionsâfocused approach with strong attention to detail
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fastâpaced environment
