Talent Development Business Partner VP – Global Asset Manager
We are looking for a Talent Development Business Partner VP to drive impactful change within a global asset manager. This newly created role offers the opportunity to shape and implement talent strategies, focusing on creating high-performing teams, succession planning, and long-term development across the organisation.
As part of the Talent Development function, you will work closely with leadership to redefine how talent is identified, nurtured, and developed. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure that talent initiatives are directly aligned with business objectives and that the organisation’s talent pipeline is robust and ready for the future.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Strategic Leadership: Take charge of defining and implementing strategies for talent development across the business.
- Succession & Development: Lead the development of succession planning frameworks, identifying potential skill gaps and ensuring future leadership is cultivated from within.
- Leadership Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership (including the CFO and COO) to challenge existing talent practices, providing actionable insights to optimise performance and development at all levels.
- Innovation in Talent Tools: Work closely with the wider talent team to introduce new assessment tools, development programs, and frameworks that elevate team performance.
- Global Focus: Deliver talent solutions that impact the entire organisation, however there will be a strong focus on the UK-based workforce.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Strong background in talent management , organisational development , or a related field within financial services or consulting .
- Expertise in succession planning , leadership development , and creating scalable talent strategies.
- Strong data and analytical capabilities, able to assess performance, identify gaps, and implement data-driven strategies.
- Excellent ability to influence and consult with senior leadership to drive business-focused talent outcomes.
- A hands-on , pragmatic approach to building talent solutions, focusing on execution and measurable results.
