Oakleaf Partnership is delighted to be exclusively partnered with a sports retailer, who are looking for a Payroll Specialist, on a permanent basis. This role will be responsible for coordinating payroll operations across the EMEA region, specifically France. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment, play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery, and ideally speak fluent French.
The Payroll Specialist will be assisting/overseeing duties such as:
- Process and oversee monthly payrolls across France & Italy using ADP
- Collect, verify, and input payroll data including new starters, leavers, variable pay, and benefit deductions
- Liaise with external payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to meet payroll timelines and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure full statutory compliance with local payroll, tax regulations in each country
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting, including reconciliations and audit support
- Maintain payroll records in accordance with legal and internal policy requirements
- Respond promptly and professionally to payroll related employee queries
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll processes, documentation, and systems
Key Skills:
- Proven experience processing French payrolls in a multi-country context
- ADP experience is desirable
- Strong knowledge of local tax, pension, and labour regulations across EMEA countries
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Fluent in French is desirable
- Strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills
