Payroll Manager – Permanent – Hybrid – London – up to £75,000 per annum

Oakleaf Partnership is delighted to be partnered again, with a well known retailer, that is looking for a Payroll Manager, on a permanent basis. The Payroll Manager will ensure hands on support is provided, with the responsibility to lead and develop a team of 4, to continuously improve and simplify process and controls. This role is on a hybrid basis, consisting of 3 days per week, in their central London office.

The Payroll Manager will be assisting/overseeing duties such as:

  • Oversee end to end payroll processing for all UK & RIO, consisting of 7,000 volume
  • Overview of global process of auto enrolment and postponement, not currently automated through the payroll
  • Initiate and drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives
  • Lead a team of 4 payrollers
  • Preparation and posting of payroll journals for the company P&L
  • To work closely with HR and Ops to identify best practice and continuously improve process compliance.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent hands on experience of full payroll processing from beginning to end
  • Proven managerial experience
  • People person with good hands-on management skills and a team motivator
  • Able to work in a complex structure, fast paced environment that constantly evolves and has a can do attitude
  • Analytically driven and responsible for creating innovative solutions to support the business
  • Highly organised, able to work to tight deadlines, and comfortable in a fast paced environment
