I’m currently working with a prestigious international professional services firm that is looking to hire an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join their London-based HR team. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering long-term development within a high-performing environment.

The Role:

Reporting into the Payroll Specialist, this position will play a key role in supporting the delivery of an accurate and efficient payroll service across the UK and assist with some international components. You’ll be involved in the end-to-end payroll cycle, including statutory reporting, benefit processing, and system integrations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Processing starters, leavers, salary changes, and deductions
  • Calculating statutory pay elements (holiday, sick, maternity, etc.)
  • Managing benefit-related deductions and HMRC submissions
  • Auto-enrolment duties, including pension contributions and compliance
  • Supporting payroll system integration (Workday to ADP)
  • Assisting with payroll journals, reconciliations, and year-end returns
  • Resolving payroll queries and liaising with internal departments and external providers
  • Supporting US expat payroll processing (GBP/USD)

Candidate Profile:

  • 3-5 years’ UK payroll experience in a fast-paced, professional environment
  • Strong understanding of PAYE/NIC and statutory payroll legislation
  • Proficient in ADP iHCM or similar payroll systems
  • Confident using Excel (VLOOKUPs, formulas, pivot tables)
  • Previous exposure to Workday or international payroll is a bonus
  • Accurate, organised, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
