Oakleaf Partnership are working with a client to recruit a Junior People Partner for a 6-9 month fixed-term contract that will help shape the future of their people strategy. Our client are a growing private equity-backed business whose journey has been driven by acquisitions, with a portfolio of over 10 innovative brands. While growth through acquisition continues, they are now focusing on unlocking the potential of their existing brands and teams. With a startup-like culture, a turnover of £100 million, and ambitious plans, they’re building a new leadership team and preparing for exciting changes in 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with senior HR leadership to build out a people proposition in a highly entrepreneurial, growth-oriented environment. The Role As the Junior People Partner, you’ll work closely with the Chief People Officer and support the HR function across a range of responsibilities, from assisting with employee lifecycle processes to coordinating key projects. This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the implementation and management of HR workstreams throughout the employee lifecycle. Support the rollout of initiatives across Talent, Operations, Learning & Development, EVP, and Employee Engagement. Help schedule and coordinate meetings, priorities, and launches. Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes for new and departing employees. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and support the transition to a new HR system. Assist with performance management processes, including tracking objectives and providing support during reviews. Support the development and delivery of employee training programs. Help plan and execute employee engagement activities and events. Provide administrative support to the HR team as needed. Candidate profile/experience The successful candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-moving environment. You will be a graduate with a degree in HR, Business Administration or a related field with some experience within an HR environment. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills with fantastic attention to detail. You will be comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information.
