Payroll & HR Assistant Manager - Permanent - London - up to £55,000 per annum

Oakleaf Partnership is delighted to be partnered with a logistics company, who are looking for an Payroll & HR Assistant Manager, on a permanent basis.

The Assistant Payroll & HR Manager will have sole responsibility of the UK end to end payroll, alongside the generalist HR duties.

This role is 4 days in their Central London office.

  • The Payroll & HR Assistant Manager will be assisting/overseeing duties such as:
  • Own the monthly UK payroll cycle end-to-end
  • Administer the firm's benefits programme including pensions, life assurance, PHI, EAP, eye care and gym memberships, and act as the main liaison with providers.
  • Support reward cycles - salary review, bonus communication, partner draw administration and year-end reporting including P11Ds and PSA.
  • Partner closely with Finance on payroll reconciliations, monthly accruals and journals, and year-end audit queries.
  • Administer all aspects of the employee lifecycle - new starters, transfers, promotions and leavers - with a strong control mindset and full audit trail.
  • Manage end-to-end onboarding, including offer letters, contracts, right-to-work and background checks, probation reviews and induction coordination.
