We're currently supporting a client in the search for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join their HR team on an initial 3-month contract based in Portsmouth. This is an excellent opportunity for an ER specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage a broad range of complex employee relations casework from start to finish.
The Role: As Employee Relations Advisor, you'll provide expert advice and guidance to managers across a wide range of ER matters, ensuring cases are managed fairly, consistently, and in line with employment legislation and organisational policy.
- Managing a high-volume ER caseload including disciplinaries, grievances, sickness absence, performance and capability
- Advising managers on employment law, policy, and best practice
- Supporting investigations, hearings, and appeals
- Drafting outcome letters and case documentation
- Coaching and upskilling managers on ER processes
- Supporting wider HR initiatives and change projects where required
About You:
- Proven experience in a dedicated Employee Relations / HR Advisory role
- Strong end-to-end employee relations case management experience is essential
- Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Ability to manage sensitive and complex cases with confidence and professionalism
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Previous public sector experience would be highly desirable
- Available to work on-site in Portsmouth, 5 days per week
