I'm currently working with a client who is looking for a hands-on Organisational Design specialist, someone who has done the work and delivery first hand. This role suits an OD expert/PMO-type professional with strong OD and HR project experience, someone who understands both the strategic "why" and the operational "how", and can bring the two together into real delivery.
Responsibilities
- Experience across end-to-end organisational design, from early-stage questioning and diagnosis through to implementation
- Comfortable challenging the business and senior stakeholders (Directors, C-suite) with the right questions
- Able to clearly articulate: What does step 1 look like? What does step 50 look like? And how do we get there?
- Someone who can build the roadmap and act as the project manager who pulls everything together
Background / Qualifications
- OD, re-organisations, TUPE, reward, people operations
- Generalist HR background with strong process understanding
- Experience working on HR / organisational change programmes, not just skirting around the OD layer
- Exposure to consultation processes and complex stakeholder environments
- Understanding (not expert-level) of Workday, particularly implementing learning & development modules
Notes
You don’t need to be the subject-matter expert in everything, but you do need to understand how implementation works and how all the moving parts connect. Having a few "tricks up your sleeve" when things get difficult will definitely help.
Location & practicalities
- Based near Heathrow (West Drayton) - a fast-moving, high-pressure environment
- Free bus shuttle available (including routes via BA HQ)
- 3 days on site
- £700 per day
- ASAP start
- 6-12 months
Most importantly, they need someone who can bring energy, get under the skin of the change, and really understand the why behind it. If this sounds like the kind of role you are interested in, please apply!
