An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager, with HR project experience, to join a forward-thinking People function and play a key role in delivering strategic HR initiatives across a multi-country, matrix organisation. This role is ideal for a delivery-focused project manager who enjoys working across multiple projects, stakeholders and geographies – translating HR strategy into measurable outcomes while ensuring people impacts are thoughtfully managed.

The Opportunity

The Project Manager (HR) will lead the planning and delivery of high-impact HR projects that support organisational priorities, enhance employee experience and strengthen consistency across markets. Working closely with senior HR leaders, centres of expertise and local People teams, the role will drive disciplined, data-informed project delivery across areas including talent, reward, engagement, HR systems and organisational change. With a strong focus on governance, insight and execution, this role plays a critical part in ensuring HR initiatives are delivered on time, to scope and with clear business impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery & Governance
    • Lead end-to-end delivery of HR projects, managing scope, timelines, risks and dependencies.
    • Develop robust project plans, milestones and risk assessments.
    • Track progress and provide clear, concise reporting to senior stakeholders.
    • Coordinate delivery across HR Business Partners, Centres of Expertise and local People teams in multiple countries.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build strong relationships with HR teams, business leaders and external partners.
    • Partner with senior stakeholders to shape project scope, priorities and success measures.
    • Prepare and present updates to HR governance forums, ensuring transparency on progress, risks and interdependencies.
  • HR Strategy & Compliance
    • Ensure all projects align to the People strategy and wider organisational objectives.
    • Maintain compliance with employment legislation and internal policies across jurisdictions.
  • Data, Insight & Reporting
    • Use HR data and analytics to inform project decisions and track outcomes.
    • Develop reports and dashboards for senior leadership.
    • Support the successful embedding of new tools, frameworks and operating models into day-to-day HR and business practice.
  • Change & Adoption
    • Support communication, engagement and training plans for HR initiatives.
    • Drive adoption of new processes, systems and ways of working.
    • Capture feedback, lessons learned and continuous improvement actions.

About You

This role will suit a structured, proactive Project Manager (HR) who combines strong delivery discipline with excellent stakeholder skills. The successful candidate will bring:

  • Essential experience and skills
    • Proven experience delivering HR projects in large, complex or matrix organisations.
    • Strong understanding of core HR processes including organisational design, performance, talent and change.
    • Experience using HR data and analytics to support decision-making.
    • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior and executive level.
    • Strong planning, governance and organisational capability.
    • Confidence using project and data tools such as Smartsheet, Power BI, HRIS reporting and Excel.
  • Desirable
    • Experience working in international or shared services environments.
    • Exposure to technology, digital or AI-enabled HR initiatives.
    • Project management and/or HR qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, CIPD).
    • Familiarity with HR metrics and frameworks such as organisational health, diversity dashboards and workforce KPIs.
