We’re partnering with an established and forward-thinking organisation on the search for a proactive and experienced HR Business Partner. This role offers the chance to truly influence the people agenda across a complex and fast-moving business, supporting both strategic goals and day-to-day HR operations.

About the Role:

As HR Business Partner, you’ll be the trusted advisor for a defined business area, working closely with senior leaders, managers, and employees. You’ll lead on core HR activity including employee relations, performance, workforce planning, and people engagement-while line managing a small HR team and helping to drive forward key projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main HR contact for your business area, aligning people plans with business objectives.

  • Provide expert advice across ER, performance management, absence, and employment law.

  • Support workforce planning across permanent, FTC, contractor, and casual staff.

  • Coach, guide, and manage a small HR team (Advisor & Coordinator).

  • Lead on recruitment planning and ensure structured onboarding is in place.

  • Support employee engagement initiatives and analyse survey/action planning data.

  • Contribute to the development of HR policies, systems, and best practice.

  • Facilitate talent and succession planning conversations and oversee development plans.

  • Promote use of Workday across leadership and teams; support with training and performance processes.

  • Deliver HR training, updates on employment law, and workshops for managers.

What You’ll Bring:

Essential:

  • CIPD Level 7 qualified (or Level 5 with intent to achieve Level 7).

  • At least 4 years’ experience in a generalist HR advisory or business partnering role.

  • Strong background in complex ER casework, recruitment, and performance management.

  • Clear understanding of UK employment law and best practice.

  • Experience leading or mentoring junior HR staff.

  • Confident working in a fast-paced and multi-site environment.

Desirable:

  • Strategic HR planning or experience supporting a specific business unit.

  • Familiarity with Workday or similar HRIS.

  • Experience running HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
