Oakleaf are partnering with a leading financial services organisation to hire a Head of Commercial Learning on an initial 9-12 month basis (with a view to going permanent). This is a high-profile opportunity to join a newly evolving Talent function with strong sponsorship from senior leadership and a genuine mandate for change. The business is investing heavily in modernising its learning capability, commercial effectiveness, and leadership infrastructure following a large-scale integration and wider organisational transformation.
Reporting into the Director of Talent, the Commercial Learning Manager will manage a team responsible for both business-facing learning and business systems training across the organisation. This role will suit someone who combines strategic thinking with a highly hands-on approach. While there is a strong consultancy and stakeholder element, the immediate focus is on execution, programme delivery, team leadership, and helping build scalable commercial learning capability within a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Commercial Learning function and manage a multi-disciplinary team
- Deliver key commercial and growth-focused learning programmes across the business
- Help design and build a new front-office sales academy, including learning journeys and supporting tools/technology
- Oversee major learning initiatives linked to commercial capability and systems transformation (SalesForce)
- Prioritise and coordinate multiple projects to ensure effective delivery
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand learning needs and deliver practical, business-focused solutions
- Improve learning data, reporting, and dashboards to better demonstrate impact
- Support the ongoing development and modernisation of the learning function
