Oakleaf Partnership are working with a leading international financial institution seeking an experienced IT Asset Management Specialist to join its Technology Service Delivery team in London. This is a senior, hands-on role for an experienced IT Asset Management and Configuration Management specialist who can independently support and enhance a critical asset management capability. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving hardware, software and CMDB data quality, strengthening governance and delivering audit-ready outputs in a highly regulated environment.

This role is ideal for someone with strong ServiceNow ITAM, SAM and CMDB expertise who enjoys identifying control gaps, enhancing processes and driving continuous improvement.

Working within a global financial institution with a strong presence across EMEA, Asia and the Americas, technology, operational resilience and regulatory compliance are central to their strategy, and they are continuing to invest in strengthening their IT governance and service management capabilities.

As an IT Asset Management Practitioner, you will play a key role in maturing IT Asset Management, Software Asset Management and Configuration Management capabilities across EMEA.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of hardware and software assets
  • Maintain and improve data quality within ServiceNow ITAM, SAM and CMDB
  • Work closely with Infrastructure teams to understand configuration relationships and dependencies
  • Perform reconciliations to identify gaps, inaccuracies and compliance risks
  • Build dashboards, KPIs and management reports to provide visibility into asset and configuration data
  • Support software licence compliance, audit preparation and remediation activities
  • Maintain configuration item (CI) class models and relationship standards
  • Support discovery integrations and data imports
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and risk reduction
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures and process documentation
  • Escalate control issues and recommend remediation actions
  • Engage with senior stakeholders across Technology, Procurement, Finance, Risk and Audit

Skills and experience:

  • Significant hands-on experience in IT Asset Management and Configuration Management within Banking or Financial Services (essential)
  • Strong practitioner-level expertise in ServiceNow ITAM, SAM and CMDB
  • Solid understanding of ITIL and configuration management best practices
  • Experience supporting audits and producing evidence-based documentation
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and remediate data quality issues
  • Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities
  • Experience with tools such as Flexera, Snow, SCCM or Intune is desirable
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of deliverables
  • ITIL and ITAM/SAM certifications are highly desirable
