Oakleaf is pleased to be partnering a leading organisation within the food and logistics sector that is continuing to invest in its people, technology and operational network. As part of this ongoing growth and transformation, there is an exciting opportunity for a talented People Partner to join a busy, site-based operation. This role is 5 days a week on site.
The Opportunity
Working in partnership with the General Manager, you will sit within the site-based leadership team and play a key role in translating people priorities into practical, site-based actions.
You will bring clarity and insight to people-related challenges, using data, commercial understanding and strong relationships to diagnose issues and drive measurable improvements in performance, capability and employee engagement.
This is a key role in strengthening the link between HR and the wider business, supporting people-led activity that underpins business excellence, organisational change and transformation.
What You'll Be Doing
Reporting to a regional Senior People Partner, you will act as a visible and credible partner to the operation, combining commercial awareness with strong people expertise to support effective decision-making.
You will also lead and manage a People Advisor, helping to embed a culture of high performance, development, engagement and continuous improvement across the site.
Working closely with the General Manager and supporting operational Line Managers and colleagues, you will contribute to and lead activity across areas including:
- Leadership capability and development
- Reward and employee engagement
- Organisational change and transformation
- Workforce planning
- Performance management
- Talent management
- Employee relations
- Industrial relations
You will use your strong stakeholder management, influencing and problem-solving skills to challenge and support senior operational leaders, helping them understand the risks and benefits of their decisions and identify commercially viable, pragmatic solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and high-performing People function, operating within a defined partnering model and working closely with Centres of Excellence. The role also offers opportunities for longer-term development and career progression.
What We're Looking For
- An experienced and driven HR Generalist / People Business Partner with a dynamic, innovative and collaborative approach.
- Confident building trusted relationships with senior operational leaders and Line Managers
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Significant experience across the employee lifecycle, alongside experience of managing organisational change and HR projects.
- CIPD Level 5 is desirable but not essential. Applications will also be considered from candidates who are qualified through relevant experience.
