I’m supporting a highly regarded, national automotive retailer to appoint a Learning & Development Specialist to strengthen their onboarding and early-career learning offer. This is a brilliant opportunity for a confident facilitator who enjoys high-impact delivery, building relationships across the business, and helping people thrive from day one.
Salary & Benefits (highly competitive):
- £36,000
- 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays (increases with service)

The role
Reporting into a Senior L&D Specialist, you’ll play a key role in delivering and continuously improving onboarding, induction and core learning programmes. You’ll design and facilitate engaging learning experiences (virtual and in-person) that help colleagues build capability and demonstrate company values from the start.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver weekly induction and welcome webinars for new starters
- Facilitate the first 3-month onboarding journey for new colleagues
- Design and enhance engaging virtual and in-person training using available tech
- Deliver training across induction, onboarding, sales, service and customer experience
- Maintain accurate, compliant, up-to-date onboarding/induction materials
- Partner with hiring managers to support smooth onboarding in role
- Provide coaching, feedback and follow-up support to embed learning in the workplace
- Manage your diary, travel and course prep proactively (No line management responsibility in this position.)
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience delivering online and face-to-face onboarding/induction programmes
- Confident facilitator comfortable with high-volume new starter training
- Strong understanding of learning design principles and Learning Needs Analysis
- Passionate about people development and creating an inclusive learning environment
- Excellent stakeholder management—able to build relationships across a national business
- Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously
- Confident using technology to deliver blended learning
- Willing to travel nationally as required
