I’m supporting a highly regarded, national automotive retailer to appoint a Learning & Development Specialist to strengthen their onboarding and early-career learning offer. This is a brilliant opportunity for a confident facilitator who enjoys high-impact delivery, building relationships across the business, and helping people thrive from day one.

Salary & Benefits (highly competitive):

Working pattern: Full-time | Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week

Travel: National travel required (blended virtual + face-to-face delivery)

The role

Reporting into a Senior L&D Specialist, you’ll play a key role in delivering and continuously improving onboarding, induction and core learning programmes. You’ll design and facilitate engaging learning experiences (virtual and in-person) that help colleagues build capability and demonstrate company values from the start.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver weekly induction and welcome webinars for new starters
  • Facilitate the first 3-month onboarding journey for new colleagues
  • Design and enhance engaging virtual and in-person training using available tech
  • Deliver training across induction, onboarding, sales, service and customer experience
  • Maintain accurate, compliant, up-to-date onboarding/induction materials
  • Partner with hiring managers to support smooth onboarding in role
  • Provide coaching, feedback and follow-up support to embed learning in the workplace
  • Manage your diary, travel and course prep proactively (No line management responsibility in this position.)

  • Confident facilitator comfortable with high-volume new starter training
  • Strong understanding of learning design principles and Learning Needs Analysis
  • Passionate about people development and creating an inclusive learning environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management—able to build relationships across a national business
  • Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously
  • Confident using technology to deliver blended learning
  • Willing to travel nationally as required
