Support Worker - About the role:
We are looking for caring and motivated Support Workers to join our team in Sherburn, County Durham, supporting adults with learning disabilities. You'll enjoy helping people achieve their goals and live as independently as possible. Experience supporting individuals with epilepsy, cerebral palsy, or dysphasia is beneficial but not essential.
The role involves providing person-centred support, including personal care, medication administration, promoting independence, developing life skills, and encouraging positive risk-taking. You'll also support customers with daily living tasks such as budgeting, health appointments, domestic duties, and accessing the local community, hobbies, and new experiences.
We're looking for someone who works well both independently and as part of a team, has a positive, forward-thinking attitude, and is flexible to work a range of shifts, including days, sleep-ins, and waking nights, depending on service needs.
Support Worker - What we need from you:
You do not need to have experience, but it is essential that you share our values. As long as you have a positive attitude and want to improve the lives of those with a learning disability, we will support you with progression opportunities throughout your career with us. Driving licence is preferred but not essential.
