The Job Coach Role
Right2Work is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Job Coach to join our Supported Internship team based at Craven College in Skipton. This is an exciting opportunity to support young adults with additional needs as they transition from education into the world of work. We deliver a Supported Internship programme in partnership with Craven College, helping learners develop the skills, confidence, and experience needed for sustainable employment.
About the Role
The role will begin with a classroom‑based focus for the first 6 weeks, supporting learners to develop employability skills and prepare for the workplace. Following this, the role will transition into job coaching, where you will support a group of young adults in their work placements. This includes providing on‑site support, building employer relationships, and helping interns succeed in real working environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and assist with classroom‑based sessions during the initial programme phase
- Provide in‑work support and job coaching in a variety of placement settings
- Liaise with employers to ensure positive and meaningful placement experiences
- Monitor progress and adapt support to meet individual needs
- Promote confidence, independence, and long‑term employment outcomes
