We are seeking to appoint a Receptionist and Administration Assistant to provide a professional, welcoming, positive, and highly efficient service to Oaklands School. The role will complement and contribute to front‑office functioning alongside other team members working from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm (5.5 hrs per day). The post holder will coordinate communications for callers, visitors, staff and students, and render an efficient front‑line reception service at the School.

  • Hours: 27.5 hours per week, Term Time Only + 2 weeks (41 weeks)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 1:30 pm
  • Salary: Scale 4 Points 7‑10 (£31,980‑£33,384 per annum, pro rata £22,823‑£23,676 per annum)

  • Co‑ordinate communications for callers, visitors, staff and students.
  • Deliver efficient front‑line reception service.
  • Support other administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • Excellent literacy and communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent administrative skills and confidence working independently and unsupervised.
  • Experience using a MIS such as SIMS (highly desirable).
  • Ability to speak Bengali (desirable but not essential).
