Oaklands Global Aviation & Aerospace is currently looking to recruit a Technical Services Manager for a reputable MRO based in the UK. You will lead the Technical Services function, ensuring the timely delivery of accurate work packages and release documentation in line with UK Civil Aviation Authority, European Union Aviation Safety Agency Part 145, and Part CAMO requirements. This is a hands-on leadership role where operational oversight, team management, and continuous improvement all come together.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Technical Services team, ensuring consistent delivery of compliant, high-quality outputs
- Oversee the production of engineering work packs and CAMO release documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Ensure effective material planning and requisition to support maintenance activities
- Allocate workload across the team to maintain efficiency and continuity
- Maintain and continuously improve internal processes, planning systems, and documentation standards
- Ensure technical publications and maintenance task data are reviewed and updated in line with OEM revisions
- Monitor and improve departmental performance, focusing on quality, cost, and turnaround times
- Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders and customers to support operational delivery
- Oversee technical records, work reports, and compliance with Part 145 requirements
- Drive safety standards and actively contribute to the company’s safety management system
- Lead performance management, development, and resource planning within the team
Requirements
- Degree-qualified in a relevant technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Strong working knowledge of Part 145 and Part CAMO environments
- Proven experience managing teams and delivering against operational targets
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively across all levels
- Highly organised with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Able to prioritise effectively and adapt within a fast-paced operational environment
