Oaklands Global are currently recruiting a Technical Services Engineer on behalf of one of our leading aviation clients based in Southeast England.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to take on a pivotal role, overseeing quotations, developing detailed work packs, providing maintenance support, managing key administrative responsibilities, and contributing to the successful planning and execution of strategic projects.
The position will also involve customer-facing elements, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
Report directly to, and deputise for, the Head of Technical Services.
Responsibilities
- Generate customer quotations and oversee work pack (WO) preparation, readiness and timely closure for aircraft maintenance inputs.
- Raise preload demands with Stores and ensure completed work packs are accurately documented, filed and returned promptly to customers.
- Support maintenance planning by identifying key milestones, critical paths and operational priorities.
- Provide technical support to maintenance teams and act as the primary liaison with OEM technical teams.
- Promote warranty programmes and liaise with OEMs to ensure customer requirements are fully met.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure all activity is correctly recorded within CAMP.
- Support customer service activities in collaboration with the Commercial Department.
- Lead strategic, efficiency and continuous improvement projects, including root cause investigations to reduce quality escapes and COPQ.
- Deliver strategic initiatives as directed by the Head of Technical Services and attend meetings as required.
- Uphold professional standards, company EH&S policies and a strong safety culture, undertaking other reasonable duties as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience within a Part-M and/or Part-145 organisation.
- Experience communicating directly with customers, including HNWIs, within an aviation environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, technologies and changing operational demands.
- Highly methodical, organised and detail-oriented, with excellent planning and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of aviation customer expectations and service delivery.
- Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance tracking and planning systems.
- Self-motivated, performance-driven and able to prioritise tasks and manage critical activities effectively.
- Thorough knowledge of Part-M, Part-145, Company MOE requirements and continuing airworthiness.
- Advanced understanding of continuous improvement principles and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of EH&S practices, leadership techniques and human performance principles.
- Understanding of Safety Management Systems (SMS), Just Culture and occurrence reporting requirements.
- Strong awareness of professional integrity, safety responsibilities and quality standards.
- Ability to identify, manage and report discrepancies effectively.
- Competent in compiling, controlling and reviewing completed work cards.
- Ability to accurately interpret work orders and work cards and apply relevant maintenance data.
- Strong organisational skills with a flexible and adaptable approach to workload and operational priorities.
- Natural planner with a strong focus on safety, quality and achieving results.
