Oaklands Global are currently recruiting a Sales Manager on behalf of one of our leading aviation clients. This is a high-impact, growth-focused role where you will proactively manage sales activities exclusively within the Netherlands market. You will actively develop and expand the territory, build strategic relationships with key decision makers and position the company as the go-to provider for light personal, training and utility aircraft. This is a permanent role based in the Netherlands and the successful candidate must be fluent in both Dutch and English.
Responsibilities
- Develop a sales approach that aligns with the company brand and delivers against our target audience.
- Manage sales of new and used aircraft.
- Attend conferences and exhibitions to promote the company and increase brand awareness.
- Build and develop a network of contacts and referral sources to facilitate sales.
- Proactively schedule and conduct targeted sales meetings and customer visits across the territory.
- Manage and develop customer relationships to foster loyalty and support for both the company and partner’s brands.
- Proactively provide flying demonstrations to customers throughout the country, with an emphasis on the safe operation of the aircraft.
- Develop an annual sales plan in collaboration with the Sales Director.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, guidance, and advice to new customers regarding the operation of their aircraft.
- Act as a strong brand ambassador for the company.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of, and experience within, General Aviation.
- A minimum of 500 hours’ flight time; an Instructor Rating would be preferable.
- VFR pilot, preferably with European experience.
- Flight planning experience (European experience preferred).
- Sales background preferred.
- Established reputation and network within the industry and wider aviation sector.
- Passion for General Aviation.
- Strong client relationship management and customer service ethic.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business acumen.
- Highly motivated.
- Visible and proactive.
- Collaborative team player, able to overcome objections and close deals.
- Personable.
