Oaklands Global is currently looking to recruit an Air Traffic Control Officer (ATCO) to join a small, professional, and dedicated Air Traffic Services team. Reporting to the Manager of Air Traffic Services, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of air traffic including corporate, private, training, military, and unmanned aerial systems operating in Class G airspace.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic regional airport environment with a varied traffic mix and ongoing operational development with big plans within the Air traffic unit. As the organisation continues to invest in infrastructure and expand capabilities, you will have the chance to contribute to a range of exciting projects and be part of a growing aviation operation.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, orderly, and expeditious Air Traffic Control Service in accordance with MATS Part 1, MATS Part 2, and other relevant regulatory documentation.
- Prepare and disseminate meteorological observations.
- Maintain compliance with UK ATCO licensing requirements.
- Follow and comply with the local Safety Management System (SMS).
- Assist with and participate in internal training programmes.
- Learn the role of the Air Traffic Services Assistant (ATSA) and perform support duties when required.
- Carry out additional tasks to support the Air Traffic Services Unit (ATSU).
Requirements
- Current ADI rating with a valid Tower (TWR) endorsement.
- Current valid Approach (APP) rating (Desirable).
- Current UK Class 3 ATCO Medical Certificate.
- Strong PC literacy.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to work a shift pattern, including weekends, bank holidays, and some unsociable hours.
- Meteorological Observer's Certificate (Full or Restricted).
- OJTI endorsement.
- Experience operating in Class G airspace.
