Oaklands Global are currently recruiting a Sales Manager on behalf of our client, an established organisation within the global aerospace sector. This is a remote position; however, the successful candidate must be based in the UK or Europe.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing profitable aircraft painting opportunities across airline, VIP, military, and MRO clients. The role focuses on building senior-level relationships, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation, and providing revenue forecasts and market insight to support strategic business growth across the region.
Responsibilities:- Seek, identify and qualify airline clients with a view to securing profitable aircraft painting inputs.
- Customer visits to airlines and operators to establish upcoming release of painting RFPs.
- Identify and proactively market all product lines in the painting sector, i.e. Airline, VIP, Military MRO.
- Ability to produce and negotiate commercial proposals and painting contracts with clients.
- Oversight and support with the KYC process for all new and existing clients.
- Strict adherence to the company's sales process.
- Work closely with the Sales Director to ensure that all clients receive a first-class service.
- Manage and keep current the company's Sales Pipeline and contract database.
- The ability to manage, administrate and amend existing customer contracts.
- Represent the Sales & Commercial team at internal 'bid review' meetings.
- Regularly attend global MRO conference and trade events.
- Identify and advise the business on significant trends and developments within the commercial aviation base maintenance market, with a view to identifying opportunities as well as threats.
- To have a direct influence and communicate forecasted revenues to the Head of Finance in line with structured company reporting procedures.
- 5+ years of MRO sales experience, preferably in the commercial aircraft base/line maintenance and painting sector.
- A highly motivated individual with multiple senior level contacts in the aviation industry essential.
- Highly organised, while demonstrating attention to detail and an ability to handle multiple ongoing leads.
- Demonstrates strong prospecting follow-up capabilities, and able to see deals through from inception to completion.
- First class verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to track personal KPIs.
- Can cultivate and maintain long-term, value-added business relationships.
