Are you ready to take the next step in your aviation training career? Oaklands Global are exclusively seeking an experienced and driven Deputy Head of Training to support the operational and managerial oversight of our clients ATO. Reporting directly to the Head of Training, this role plays a key part in delivering safe, high-quality training that aligns with both UK CAA and EASA standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing all aspects of our clients’ operations, in line with ATO manuals and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform key functions associated with the roles of Head of Training and Chief Ground Instructor.
  • Assign instructors for all training courses and ensure the standardisation of theoretical knowledge instruction.
  • Promote a safety-first culture.
  • Ensure compliance with UK CAA/EASA regulatory frameworks in all training activity.
  • Support student discipline and address any issues that arise.
  • Help prepare and present the company’s annual business plan.
  • Ensure seamless integration of theoretical and practical flight training.
  • Monitor student progress and ensure training quality remains customer focused.
  • Work with the Safety & Compliance Manager to manage audits and responses.
  • From time to time, support charter operations under the AOC.
  • Supervise all theoretical knowledge instructors in your role as Chief Ground Instructor.
  • Fulfil any additional duties assigned by the Head of Training.

Qualifications

  • Must be an experienced Type Rating Instructor (TRI) and Examiner (TRE).
  • Ideally hold current SFI/SFE or TRI/TRE status.
  • Type-rated on H145 D2/D3.
