Oaklands Global are recruiting a Compliance Monitoring Engineer for a leading aviation client based in Southeast England. The role is to ensure aviation operations and products meet regulatory standards, safety protocols and quality control measures.

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Compliance Manager as part of the Compliance Monitoring team.
  • Ensure all aviation operations and products meet applicable regulatory standards, safety protocols, and quality control requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits and inspections to monitor compliance with EASA Part 145 and company procedures.
  • Review maintenance documentation and procedures to verify accuracy, completeness, and regulatory alignment.
  • Identify non-conformities and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Audit and assess the performance of sub-contractors supporting company Part 145 approvals.
  • Monitor the quality of work performed by maintenance personnel and recommend improvements where necessary.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and implement process improvements and documentation updates.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and uphold the highest technical and safety standards in all maintenance activities.
  • Engage regularly with Senior Management, Quality Assurance, and Responsible Managers to ensure timely resolution of non-compliances.
  • Promote and maintain stakeholder confidence by ensuring compliance and operational integrity.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current aviation regulations, industry best practices, and internal standards.
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail and strong communication skills in all aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • Detailed knowledge of UK CAA & EASA Part 145 and practical application.
  • Knowledge of FAA would be desirable.
  • Prior aviation auditor training to a recognised standard.
  • Investigating quality issues, identifying root causes using tools like 8D or 5 Whys analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Implementing and maintaining QMS frameworks aligned with EASA Part 145, UK CAA, FAA & TCCA.
  • Current training in Human Factors, Fuel Tank Safety, and Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems.
  • Attended an officially recognised Part 145 training course.
  • Knowledge and understanding of 'Just culture' and Safety Management Systems, and safety investigation experience.
  • A formal aviation engineering training would be desirable.
  • Understand staff engineering authorisations processes.
  • Knowledge of the Centrik system would be desirable.
  • Holding a Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance License and having a working knowledge of aircraft would also be advantageous.
  • You should have a flexible and proactive attitude, be motivated and committed to continuous improvement, and have proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
  • The ideal candidate should also be eligible to qualify for and hold security passes, as required, to enable access to airside locations as needed.
  • Right to work and live in the UK.
