Oaklands Global have been exclusively retained to identify a Cargo Business Development Manager to support the growth of a leading UK air cargo hub. Working closely with department heads, you’ll focus on winning new business, growing existing accounts, and strengthening the businesses position in global airfreight markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business with airlines, brokers, freight forwarders, and shippers
- Grow existing customer relationships and revenue streams
- Develop and deliver sales proposals through to contract completion
- Support both scheduled and ad hoc charter cargo operations
- Represent the business at industry events and international meetings
- Align closely with operations to ensure service delivery supports commercial goals
- Contribute to marketing content, new service development, and long-term strategy
- Produce performance reports and market/competitor analysis
Requirements
- Proven track record in air cargo sales/business development
- Strong industry network and commercial mindset
- Experience across scheduled and charter operations
- Understanding of cargo handling and operational processes
- Proactive, results-driven, and confident communicator
