Oaklands Global are seeking an experienced Chief Training Captain to take the lead on all aspects of rotary wing pilot training within our client’s organisation. This pivotal role ensures our pilots meet the highest standards of proficiency and safety, supporting a culture of continuous improvement, professionalism, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead Training Programs: Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive training for rotary wing pilots—from initial to recurrent and advanced training.
- Ensure Compliance: Guarantee full alignment with UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Mentor Instructors: Supervise, support, and evaluate flight instructors. Conduct checks, coach performance, and encourage professional growth.
- Champion Safety: Promote a strong safety culture across all training activities, conducting risk assessments and enforcing best practices.
- Modernise Curricula: Design and continuously improve training content to reflect latest industry practices and technologies.
- Keep Records Spotless: Maintain precise training records in compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Liaise with Authorities: Be our go-to expert in training matters with the CAA and other aviation stakeholders.
- Support Operations: Lend your expertise in flight operations when needed—your flying experience still counts here.
Requirements
- Valid CPL(H) with current TRI/TRE
- Type ratings on H145 and EC135
- Strong working knowledge of UK CAA regulatory framework
- Proven ability to design and lead training programs
- Excellent leadership, communication, and risk management skills
