Salary banding – Full Time – SP 23 – 37 (£29,603 – £44,778 per annum) plus the market supplement of up to £5,000
We are looking to recruit an outstanding Lecturer within Electrical/Electronic Engineering. We invite applications for qualified Lecturers or industry experts to join our successful Engineering Department. We are keen to hear from candidates who are looking to pass on their skills to up-and-coming learners who have a keen interest in this industry.
For the delivery of Electrical/Electronic Engineering, the following additional skills/experience will be required: Electrical and Electronic Principles, Micro-Controllers / Process Control, Electronic Measurement and Testing, Programmable Logic Controllers, Industrial Power Electronics and Storage.
The successful candidate/s will be required to teach on a range of Engineering programmes at Level 2, 3, and 4 within the classroom and in the workshop. You will be delivering a range of apprenticeship programmes, full-time level 2 and 3, HNC/D & T Levels.
We offer a structured induction programme for those new to teaching. You will be paired with an experienced mentor and start on a reduced teaching timetable, gradually increasing as your experience and skills strengthen. You will gain broad experience in a teaching environment from enrolment to results day. You will also have the opportunity to experience a variety of departments at the College. In addition to this, we will offer you in-depth coaching and the opportunity to achieve a recognised teaching qualification.

This position qualifies for Department for Education (DfE) targeted retention incentive payments for FE teachers, which is an additional £6000 tax-free lump sum annual payment from the government for new FE teachers who are within their first 5 years of teaching in Engineering.
