Job Description
We're looking for an ambitious and experienced leader to head up our Plumbing & Gas Centre a vital role at the forefront of technical education. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact by managing and inspiring a team, shaping curriculum and driving performance in one of the UK's most in-demand trades.
Your Day-to-Day Impact
As Curriculum Team Manager for the Plumbing & Gas Centre, you'll take the lead in guiding a skilled team to deliver practical, high-quality training across recognised qualifications such as ACS, NVQ, and BPEC. Your work will involve shaping and developing curriculum plans, monitoring performance and ensuring everything meets the required industry and awarding body standards. From designing programmes that meet real needs in the industry to managing staffing, timetabling and quality processes.
This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll play a central role in driving up standards and building a strong and positive team culture. You'll use data and feedback to support ongoing improvements and lead curriculum reviews that help shape a better experience for learners. With 12 hours of teaching time each week, you'll remain actively involved in the classroom setting the tone through your own practice and demonstrating the professionalism, passion, and commitment we expect across the faculty.

- A PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification, and at least 2 years of teaching experience
- A strong track record of curriculum delivery and development in gas or technical training
- Experience with awarding body standards and quality frameworks
- Knowledge of blended learning, digital tools, and modern teaching approaches
- Experience with curriculum planning, timetabling, and staff supervision
Desirable: IQA qualification, e-learning experience, MIS reporting skills
