The Opportunity:
We are looking for dedicated and reliableWarehouse Operativesto join ourFreezerdepartment at ourRedditchsite. This is an excellent opportunity to become a vital part of our operations, ensuring the efficient movement and handling of frozen goods.
Job Purpose:To carry out essential warehouse duties, strictly following all relevant company procedures and adhering to company policies, with a focus on maintaining product integrity in a temperature-controlled environment.
Key Tasks / Responsibilities:
- Accurate order picking using correct procedures.
- Ensuring correct dress code (PPE) is worn at all times for safety and compliance.
- Adhering to the “clean as you go” policy to maintain required housekeeping standards.
- Promptly reporting any Health and Safety issues to a supervisor/manager.
- Flexibility to work overtime as and when required to meet business needs.
- Ensuring all consolidated pallets are at the correct height and in a safe condition.
- Maximizing consolidation of all pallets.
- Performing duties at management discretion when required.
- Loading and Unloading of vehicles following correct Frozen handling procedures.
- Monitoring product temperatures of intake and dispatch to ensure critical control points are maintained.
- Signing out Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
- Reporting any equipment or operational issues to a supervisor/manager.
Resource Management:
- Along with your manager/supervisor, monitoring and controlling the use of resources in a cost-effective manner.
- Actively seeking training in respective areas to enhance the flexibility of the company.
People/Personal Management:
- Building positive working relationships with peers and colleagues across the company.
- Operating to high moral, personal, and appearance standards.
- Maintaining personal discipline, good timekeeping, and contributing to team morale.
Information Management:
- Ensuring information is recorded correctly on daily sheets and highlighting any issues to supervisor/manager, with particular attention to daily stock check sheets.
- Communicating with your supervisor/manager daily to ensure understanding of targets and schedules.
- Liaising with stock controllers and booking-in staff regarding stock movement.
Skills/Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Trained on all relevant equipment within a chilled/frozen warehouse environment.
- The ability to communicate effectively with people within your area and other areas of the business.
- Understanding of frozen handling procedures and temperature control.
Working Hours:Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:00.

Who has access to data?

How does the organisation protect data?

For how long does the organisation keep data?
If your application for employment is unsuccessful, the organisation will hold your data on file for 6 months after the end of the relevant recruitment process. At the end of that period, your data is deleted or destroyed.
