What you will be doing:
- Leading a team of Health Care Assistants, acting as a positive role model and trusted point of support
- Assisting with personal care, meals, and daily living tasks
- Administering medication (following training and guidelines)
- Updating care plans and maintaining accurate records
- Delivering the highest standard of person-centred care, promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing for every resident
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic environment
- Supporting family members and visitors
What you need to succeed:
- At least a minimum of 2 years’ experience in delivering care or as a Senior Care Assistant
- Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or willing to sign up/or working towards it)
- Trained in medication administration
- Excellent people and customer service skills
- Ability to induct, supervise and mentor junior staff
- Time management skills to delegate tasks within a team
- Excellent communication skills – verbal (within the team and to other external professionals) and writing (ability to write and maintain care plans) and digital skills
- Caring attitude
- Flexible and reliable
