About Role
Provides classroom support to pupils, including those with SEND. Working 25.75 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (8:45 am – 2:30 pm) as part of the SEN team. Role includes safeguarding duties, support to teachers and pupils, assisting with lesson delivery, and contributing to an inclusive educational experience.
Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering curriculum to students, including those with SEND.
- Deliver individual and small‑group support to meet learning and behavioural needs.
- Assist with planning, implementing, and assessing pupil progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, including progress notes and incident reports.
- Collaborate with specialists, parents, and external agencies to support pupil development.
- Adhere to safeguarding policies and promote a safe school environment.
Qualifications
- Level 2 (or equivalent) teaching assistant qualification, or equivalent experience and demonstration of SEN support skills.
- Current DBS check and satisfactory references.
- Enhanced DBS and compliance with REMIT (KCSIE) shortlisting checks.
