Part‑time SEN Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Oakington CofE Primary School (DEMAT). FTE £25,583 per year, approx. £15,228 pro‑rata for 25.75 hours. Hours: 25.75 per week, 39 weeks per year (8:45 am – 2:30 pm). Commencing: September 2026.

About Role

Provides classroom support to pupils, including those with SEND. Working 25.75 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (8:45 am – 2:30 pm) as part of the SEN team. Role includes safeguarding duties, support to teachers and pupils, assisting with lesson delivery, and contributing to an inclusive educational experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in delivering curriculum to students, including those with SEND.
  • Deliver individual and small‑group support to meet learning and behavioural needs.
  • Assist with planning, implementing, and assessing pupil progress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, including progress notes and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with specialists, parents, and external agencies to support pupil development.
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and promote a safe school environment.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 (or equivalent) teaching assistant qualification, or equivalent experience and demonstration of SEN support skills.
  • Current DBS check and satisfactory references.
  • Enhanced DBS and compliance with REMIT (KCSIE) shortlisting checks.
