We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our well-established, friendly and supportive team in beautiful Windermere on a 12-month maternity contract, starting September/October this year.

The Role

  • Salary – £26K-£30K, depending on experience
  • Full-time – 35 hours per week over 5 days
  • 12m fixed-term maternity cover contract
  • One night on-call in the week plus a share of the out-of-hours Sunday rota, typically 1 in 4. On-call retainer paid plus overtime for call outs.
  • Supportive, collaborative team environment

The role offers a good variety of nursing duties including theatre nursing, inpatient case, nurse consultations, lab work, radiography and dental care.

Our Animal Rehabilitation Centre has a state-of-the art underwater treadmill, K-laser and also offers physiotherapy, massage and acupuncture.

Our RVNs work alongside a team of 8 dedicated and knowledgeable Veterinary Surgeons with 4 certificates in specialist areas.

Nursing duties are predominantly small animal, and we carry out regular referral work in orthopaedics, soft tissue and regenerative medicine.

We have regular social events which have included team walks and picnics (enjoying the beauty of the area we live and work in), pumpkin carving / wreath making evenings and cinema / theatre trips.
