Oakhill Equine Vets are looking for an enthusiastic receptionist to join our reception team. Our receptionists are the first, and often last, point of contact that our patients and clients have β fulfilling a vital role in the success of our equine team by ensuring an exceptional customer journey. You will work as part of a team of five, supporting 15 vets and their clients, and delivering prompt and efficient 5-star customer service.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Manage the diary efficiently to maximise daily output.
- Accurately maintain all associated documentation.
- Deliver effective and professional customer service to all clients.
- Approach and speak to clients in a professional manner.
- Dispense veterinary medicines as prescribed by our vets.
- Promote the services offered by Oakhill Equine Vets.
The person we are looking for:
- Proven experience in a receptionist position or similar role.
- Experience within a veterinary business would be an advantage.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, with strong typing skills and administrative knowledge.
- An eye for detail is essential.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of customer service and completing all tasks to a high standard.
- An excellent telephone manner and strong communication skills.
- Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Ideally has some basic horse knowledge and a friendly, positive, proactive, and committed attitude.
