Farm Vet Receptionist

Oakhill Farm Vets are looking for a receptionist to join our support team of six, working across our two offices in Gisburn and Goosnargh.

We're looking for a proactive individual to join our forward-thinking practice, supporting our team of 12 vets and 4 vet techs to provide a friendly and efficient service to our farm clients.

Who are we looking for?

As the professional first point of contact between our farm clients and on-farm teams you must:

• Have good knowledge of the farming sector.
• Be committed to delivering excellent customer service.
• Be an effective and confident communicator.
• Have strong administrative skills.
• Be able to meet and greet farm clients and build relationships.

The role

You must be confident managing yourself effectively, as there will be times when you will be in the Gisburn office on your own. Duties will include:

• Speaking regularly to our farm clients.
• Organising appointments.
• Assisting our team of vets and vet techs.
• Dispensing drugs for deliveries and pick-ups.
• Supporting the set-up, organisation and smooth running of events and courses.

The position is 24 hours per week Monday to Friday, plus one Saturday per month:

Monday (Goosnargh) 8am - 2pm

Tuesday (Gisburn) 8.30am - 12.30pm

Thursday (Gisburn) 8.30am - 12.30pm

Friday (Gisburn) 8.30am - 12.30pm

Saturday (Goosnargh) once a month 8.30am - 12pm
