Payroll done well is invisible. It's the month it goes wrong that everyone remembers. This is a role for someone who takes quiet pride in getting it right - every colleague, every month, on time and to the penny.

You'll lead the payroll administration team for a well-established, fast-growing group headquartered in Diss, running a high-volume, multi-site UK payroll. It's a genuine leadership seat. You'll coach and develop the team, own the end-to-end monthly cycle, and be the person people trust when a complex query lands.

Beyond the monthly run, there's room to shape how things are done. The group is acquisitive and still scaling, so you'll have real input into systems, process improvement, and bringing new payrolls on board through integration work. If you like building as much as running, that's the interesting part.

You'll work closely with HR and Finance, act as the point of contact for internal and external audit, and keep the function compliant as legislation shifts - RTI, pensions, statutory payments, GDPR, gender pay gap reporting.

Experience of a high-volume, multi-site environment is what counts most. CIPP and exposure to Resource Link are a bonus, not a barrier. It's hybrid - three days in Diss, two from home.
