A well-established business is looking for a Financial Analyst to be the finance lead for revenue and direct costs across a number of its business streams. It's a part-qualified role with real ownership. You'll be the person the business asks when revenue or margin doesn't look right.
Each month you'll run the close for your area. That covers accruals, intercompany recharges, journals and ad-hoc invoicing. You'll review revenue and margin against budget and prior month, investigate and resolve data queries, validate supplier cost invoices and complete the balance sheet reconciliations. You'll also contribute to the annual budget, management and board reporting, and the external audit, all within a SOX-controlled environment. That's good experience to have on your CV at this stage.
The data is high-volume and sometimes complex, so you'll need to be comfortable working through large datasets and explaining what you find clearly to non-finance people.
You'll be studying ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, with finance experience, a good grasp of financial controls and at least intermediate Excel. Advanced Excel would be a bonus.
