Individual Support – Year 12 pupil with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). 37.5 hours per week, term‑time only, start 1 September 2026.
Responsibilities
- Build a caring, secure relationship with the pupil, promoting respect, self‑esteem and an inclusive ethos.
- Support the pupil through the transition to Year 12, assisting teachers and SENCo with planning, delivery and evaluation of learning strategies.
- Provide 1:1 academic and pastoral support, enabling the pupil to access the curriculum and develop independence.
- Assist with day‑to‑day timetable logistics, supporting both pupil and staff with academics and pastoral care.
Qualifications
- UK classroom experience, ideally KS4/5.
- Experience working with children, preferably supporting pupils with additional needs.
- Adaptable, flexible and willing to learn.
- Available for a long‑term position.
- Excellent relationship‑building skills with pupils and staff.
- Enhanced DBS and qualification check.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist teachers and SENCo with planning, development and delivery of suitable learning strategies.
- Support teachers in creating and deploying learning activities, materials and resources tailored to the pupil’s academic and medical needs.
- Foster a supportive, caring relationship that promotes a positive school ethos.
- Respond effectively to the pupil’s specific academic and medical requirements.
