Two Teaching Assistants are required to provide in-class support, group intervention and one-to-one learning. This role will offer the successful candidates opportunities to support both the staff and children, challenge barriers to learning and ensure the achievement of each pupil is maximised.
The successful candidates must be able to communicate effectively with children, colleagues and parents both verbally and in writing. Teaching Assistants are an essential part of our pupils’ education and so they are expected to have a good level of education themselves. Experience of working with children with EHCPs or on the SEN register would be an advantage, as would a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.
There are two positions available:
- One vacancy is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave for up to one year.
- One vacancy is for 4 days per week (28 hrs) on a permanent basis.
Working hours are likely to be 8.15 am - 3.45 pm with an unpaid 30 minute lunch break, Term Time only plus INSET Days. The successful candidates must be willing to attend and complete any necessary training.
