At Oakfield, you'll experience the excitement of each day being unique. Your role will involve a range of tasks, from assisting in surgical procedures to providing expert advice during consultations. This variety not only keeps your work engaging and interesting but also provides you with the opportunity to learn and grow in a varied professional environment.
This role will mainly be based at our Castle Bromwich site, but there will be occasions in which you’ll be needed to cover our other sites in Tamworth and Atherstone. We’re offering a welcome bonus of up to £5000 (pro rata) for new hires.
We understand that achieving work–life balance is key to bringing out the best in our people, and we're dedicated to supporting this for our colleagues. Your typical working hours would be 8am – 7pm across a four‑day week, along with the shared Saturday rota. There is no out‑of‑hours requirement. We are closed on Sundays and Bank holidays. We offer 15‑minute consulting appointments and surgery time each weekday.
We are proud to have a close‑knit supportive team of 7 vets, 15 nurses, 2 VCA’s, 3 receptionists, a Client Coordinator, Mental Health First Aider, Feline and Canine Behaviourists, Small Animal Medicine and Exotics Certificate holders, as well as an Advanced Practitioner as part of our team. We encourage all interests, CPD, and certificate ambitions. We have most gadgets including: Digital Radiography, Dental Radiography, Laser and Ultrasound including cardiac probe. We are also an ISFM Cat Friendly Silver Accredited practice. We actively encourage our team members to contribute ideas and suggestions so we can continue improving our standards as high as possible to benefit staff, clients and our patients.
