Located in Tamworth, the practice offers modern facilities and technology, including consulting rooms, an operating theatre, an Idexx laboratory, digital and dental x‑ray, laser technology, ultrasound, cardiac scanning and the treatment of exotic pets.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first‑opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
Working Pattern
- 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8‑hour shifts inclusive of a 20‑minute unpaid break
- Shift examples include 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and 11:00 am to 7:00 pm
- Approximately 1 in 5 Saturdays are worked on a rota basis (8:30 am to 4:30 pm) and about 5 afternoons per year at our Castle Bromwich branch
- Participation in a paid on‑call rota for sickness cover
General Responsibilities
- Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first‑opinion caseload
- Support procedures in preparation and theatre, including anaesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing
- Run nurse consultations and contribute to preventative healthcare
- Provide excellent inpatient care and support patient recovery

- Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
