The award-winning home, based in Three Legged Cross, provides person-centred care for 71-residents. We specialise in Residential, Dementia & Respite care.
We’re looking for a dedicated and passionate Activities Lead specialising in dementia to bring joy, sunshine, and meaningful experiences to the lives of our residents every day.
With a deep understanding of dementia care and a genuine love for working with the older generation, we’re seeking someone who is creative, fun-loving, and highly organised. Caring for our residents is at the heart of what we do, and we believe enhancing their wellbeing goes far beyond the typical activities. Our goal is to create engaging, stimulating, and fulfilling days for our residents that are tailored to their unique preferences and needs.
What You’ll Do
- Design Dementia-Friendly Activities: Develop monthly rolling programmes and one-to-one activities, specifically designed to cater to residents living with dementia, while fostering their interests and abilities.
- Build Strong Connections: Take time to get to know each resident, building trust and understanding to ensure their individual preferences and care needs are met.
- Encourage Social Engagement: Facilitate group activities and social events that promote interaction and enjoyment for all residents, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere.
- Promote Wellbeing: Help residents maintain their hobbies and explore new interests, enriching their quality of life.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities and resident participation to track engagement and outcomes.
