We have recently expanded our service to be able to offer ADHD and autism assessment for children and young people in the Norfolk and Waverley Commissioning Board area. Our multidisciplinary teams consistently receive excellent feedback from clients and commissioners. We value both our clinical and administrative teams and strive to ensure that clients and colleagues are at the heart of all we do.

The Role

You will undertake neurodevelopmental assessments (autism and ADHD) for children and young people as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role will require you to be able to offer the face-to-face elements of assessment (e.g. the ADOS) at our premises in the Norfolk area. Other elements of the assessment can be delivered remotely.

We are keen to hear from qualified health professionals seeking an associate role.

Assessment Activities May Include

  • Parental / developmental interviews exploring developmental history (using tools such as ADI-R, ACE, ACE+, or DIVA/Young DIVA)
  • Play-based / activity sessions with children and young people
  • ADOS-2 assessments
  • QBCheck
  • Cognitive assessments (e.g., WISC-V, WAIS-IV – Psychology applicants only)
  • School observations and liaison with educational staff and other professionals
  • Additional psychometric assessments
  • Multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessment report writing

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Excellent IT skills, including strong knowledge of G Suite
  • Experience using Practice Management Systems (for clinical notes, booking, and outcomes)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an empathic approach to working with adults, families, and young people
  • Ability to clearly communicate assessment outcomes
  • Experience of autism and/or ADHD assessments in children and young people
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team

Essential Qualifications

  • HCPC registration and/or professional qualification in one of the following:
  • Psychology
  • Nursing
  • Speech and Language Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • ADOS trained
  • Experience undertaking developmental history interviews
  • Experience in conducting neurodevelopmental assessments (autism and/or ADHD)

Desirable

  • ADI-R trained
  • DIVA / Young DIVA trained
