Butchers’ Hall is a prestigious Livery Hall located in the City of London, offering a refined and historic setting for a wide range of events.
Role Purpose: We’re looking for an exceptionally organised and relationship driven Sales & Events Manager to lead the end-to-end sales journey for 87 Barts Close, one of London’s most distinctive event venues. This is a hands-on, client-facing role that would suit someone who thrives on building strong relationships, delivering outstanding service and managing every detail with precision. From the first enquiry through to a seamless handover to operations, you’ll play a key role in creating exceptional client experiences and driving venue revenue.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing the full client journey from initial enquiry through to event handover, delivering a smooth and professional experience throughout.
- Converting incoming enquiries into confirmed business through timely communication, accurate proposals and strong commercial awareness.
- Conducting venue show rounds, client meetings and tastings, presenting tailored event solutions and recommendations.
- Producing detailed event documentation including proposals, contracts and function sheets to support flawless event delivery.
- Collaborating closely with operations and culinary teams to confirm logistics, menus and service expectations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience within event sales, event planning or hospitality sales, ideally in a venue or catering environment.
- A strong track record of managing multiple events and clients with professionalism and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, presentation skills with a confident client-facing approach.
- Experience using CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
- A proactive and collaborative mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional events.
- Experience in a sales & events role within a venue or caterer is essential.
Good to Know: Venue based at Butchers’ Hall, 87 Bartholomew Close, London EC1A.
Working Pattern: 3 days per week venue based, 1 day per week at Head Office in SW London, 1 day per week working from home. Due to the nature of the role, some evening and occasional weekend work will be required in line with business and event needs. This role is best suited to someone who thrives in a high volume, fast-paced events environment. Butchers’ Hall delivers more than 170 events each year, so success in this position requires exceptional organisation, strong administrative capability and a genuine pride in attention to detail.
